VOLUNTEER

Last semester, I was to be a volunteer. Not only me but my whole class of co-curriculum. We did’nt do it Asean Games or any village but it was at National Zoo at Ulu Klang. I love it more because it is a new experience to me. Before this I was a volunteer at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital at Kuantan. I’ll always face many type of patient but this is not human program. We were working with animal.

At my first day, what do you think I’ll work with? horse,  rabbit, porcupine, birds, and squirrel. I’m still remember the name of the horse. It is wizard. First, when we come two of this horse very shy I think but later they are good enough to touch. We clean their place and bring one of it to photography session. It is so interesting. After that, my friend and need to clean the porcupine stable. I’m so afraid at first because we share a same place with it. Of course you don’t want their spine be with you. So, we have to be careful of course. What can I say is, you cannot be so aggressive with them and you need to calm down and make your move slowly.

My second day also a perfect and interesting day for me. I did’nt expect that we have to clean up the roof of the  bear house. You know, when I try to see under me, there is a big bear. I’m so afraid. I hope, I’ll not fall down. They are so dangerous. Its name is boy. Then, we give it food for him, only a bread but it like it. We’re not finish my job yet. My zoo supervisor give an opportunity to give food for the beavers. There are a lot of beaver. I cannot explain how happy am I that moment. The beaver take a fish from my hand but something you need to know anout them. They are so clean animal. They’ll not eat it until they wash the fish first. What a clever animal.
